Out of Hours

The surgery at Alma Vets is not staffed 24 hours a day. If your pet has an emergency problem or you need urgent advice or an appointment outside our normal surgery times, you can call our normal telephone number. You will be given instructions for how to contact an out of hours vet.

Consultations and Fees

We try to keep waiting times to a minimum, but due to emergencies delays are sometimes unavoidable.

If you are unable to attend an appointment please contact the surgery to make alternative arrangements. If you would like to see a particular veterinary surgeon please ask when making the appointment. Nurse appointments are available for procedures such as microchipping, suture removal, pet weighing etc.

We strive to keep our fees to a reasonable level. In return we ask that payment is made at the time of treatment. Payment is accepted by cash or most major debit/credit cards.
Reduced cost neutering vouchers may sometimes be offered by the Dogs Trust, the RSPCA and Cats Protection.
